Marianne sees her art practice as a journey of personal growth.

Most inspired by nature and her own cultural heritage as well as exploringand borrowing from others, she infuses a healthy dose of the fantastic to imply an imaginary dream scape.

A folk art interpretation fuses with true life experience, forcing the viewer to question where reality lies.

Marianne views the choice of media as having equal importance to that of the subject matter, which she skilfully applies to heighten the mood of her illustrations.
