'Heroes' was originally named pre-Covid with my favourite musicians, writers and artists in mind. Many of these paintings and drawings were inspired by the likes of John Prine, His Bobness, and Brendan Behan to name but three. Much has happened since then however and while in Quarantine I did several more paintings, which are included here. They reflect the unprecedented times that we're living in, and one celebrates a brand of heroism that has only just begun to be recognised in this pandemic. If I could dedicate this exhibition to anyone, it would be to the real heroes, our doctors and, especially, nurses working at the Frontline.

"I have been active as a cartoonist for many years in Dublin, where I continue to work as a freelance artist, illustrator and cartoonist. I have in that time published widely in Irish newspapers and magazines, including the financial pages of the Irish Independent, the Irish Times and Phoenix magazine.
I have published several books of illustrations - the most recent of which, “Godot Go Deo”, was described by Books Ireland as a ‘piece of Beckettry that no collector should overlook’ and by the Irish Independent as a ‘welcome antidote to the po-faced product of so much of the Beckett industry'.
