A big thank you from The Icon Factory to all the supporters, public passer-by, performers and volunteers, who came out in their droves yesterday despite the cloudy sky for the CULTURE & ARTS FESTIVAL 16.

In music they say the debut album is nearly always best and the second one is a very hard follow up. Not always true though! we thought yesterday was a brilliant day and we enjoyed it a lot.

Big thanks to Nova Dawn and Dance Destination Ireland for showing us her graceful and elegant ballet moves and giving tips and lessons to lots of little and not-so-little girls who wish to become ballerinas. (For More Info: https://www.facebook.com/destinationdanceireland/)

Shout out to Cristiano Delmar and the dancers with Bal Folk Dublin who certainly wowed the crowd with their energetic folk dancing and routines. Some of these dances date back centuries it was great to see these them performed in the cultural hub of Dublin in a contemporary setting.

Thanks to The Pale who played a brilliant acoustic set and created an electric atmosphere with just three singing voices, a guitar and a mandolin… they didn’t even need an amplifier!
Check out the video on the timeline and go see them on October the 8th at The Grand Social if you get a chance.

Once again thanks to Eduardo and Ellen from Sushi Home and All We Need Is Love Productions who once again supplied their beautiful vegan sushi dishes for festival and to our surprise are also very talented musicians and singers and they gave us an impromptu performance.

Thanks to Lucas Elias Costa who performed his reggae-influenced, acoustic guitar songs and resonated the laneways with his very positive vibes.

Last but not least thanks to all our volunteers, friends and associates who helped out with us this week and the last few weeks.

We are looking to next week’s CULTURE & ARTS FESTIVAL 16 event. Two of the strong pillars of Irish culture past and present will be represented; POETRY & MUSIC. We hope to see you all there!
